ISC Paris Groupe

A message from our Dean and CEO

« Each student is a part of a collective destiny. This is how the active and supportive community of ISC Paris is built and carried out daily by considering each apprentice as he or she is and by giving people with disabilities the ability to act and succeed.

In this sense, inclusion is not an option, it is a societal responsibility in which everyone must play a part. »

Jean-Christophe Hauguel

Dean and CEO of ISC Paris

Diversity and inclusion at ISC Paris

As part of our commitment to societal responsibility, ISC Paris is implementing an inclusion strategy, with the goal of preventing discrimination based on disability, age, social or cultural origin, gender, sexual orientation, or physical appearance. This broad range of categories means that inclusion will take various forms and involve various practices at ISC Paris.

Inclusion is a component of anti-discrimination, equal opportunity, and diversity. These challenges are at the heart of many international documents such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Conventions produced by the International Labor Organization (ILO), European charters and directives, and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Inclusion means respecting that each student is unique, while maintaining the spirit of unity at ISC Paris.

Diversity includes the entire range of differences that makes every student unique. Inclusion means respecting these differences while valuing and involving the entire student community at ISC Paris, and by working together toward a common goal: developing an inclusive environment where everyone contributes something, and where everyone can realize their full potential.

As a higher education institution, our values are rooted in respect: respect for self, others, diversity, and the future.

Respect requires that everyone demonstrate openness and inclusion in relationships, whether at ISC Paris or in the outside world.

In this spirit, ISC Paris, as a member of the French Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, has signed the Charter of Commitment to Inclusion and Respect for Diversity, for management Grandes Ecoles.

Disability and inclusion

As a member of the French Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, ISC Paris, has since 2008 (when the 1st CGE Disability Charter was launched; it was renewed in 2019) implemented an equal opportunity policy for the inclusion of students with disabilities or who have health conditions requiring accommodations. This demonstrates ISC Pari’s commitment to a more just, open, and interconnected society.

This commitment is supported by the ISC Handicap mission, which aims to change the way people look at disability and to deploy the actions and support necessary for the success and professional integration of students with disabilities.

The ISC Handicap mission is a real relay between the different services and departments of ISC Paris but also with the different external organisations dedicated to the subject.
